Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TechSecure Software ("TechSecure", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when dealers, distributors, agents and their customers use the TechSecure platform and Dealer app.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, business/shop name, email, phone number, city and role for the dealers, distributors and agents who use the platform.

Customer & KYC data: with the dealer's and customer's consent, we process customer photos, signatures, identity documents, device IMEI numbers and credit-check results to enable device financing.

Device & location data: for enrolled devices, we process device identifiers, lock/unlock status, and on-demand GPS location (up to the 3 most recent locations) to support device protection and recovery.

Usage & technical data: log data, IP address and app diagnostics used to secure and improve the service.

2. Device-control consent

TechSecure enables remote device management (lock/unlock, app/camera/call blocking, wallpaper, anti-factory-reset and location) only on devices that have been enrolled through the dealer's onboarding process with the customer's informed consent, as part of a hire-purchase / EMI agreement.

Customers are informed at onboarding that the financed device includes a security locker that may restrict device functions if EMI payments are not met, and that location may be requested to recover the device. Control is intended to be exercised responsibly and lawfully.

3. Anti-factory-reset (FRP) protection

Where activated, Factory Reset Protection prevents a financed device from being wiped to remove the security locker before EMIs are cleared. This protection is tied to the device enrolment and the associated financing agreement.

4. How we use information

To provide onboarding, device provisioning, EMI scheduling, reminders, collections and device-protection features; to authenticate users (OTP, MPIN, Master PIN); to prevent fraud and duplicate enrolments; and to comply with legal obligations.

5. Sharing & disclosure

We share data with the dealer/distributor responsible for a given account and customer, and with service providers (e.g. hosting, SMS/WhatsApp, email and credit-check partners) strictly to operate the service. We may disclose information where required by law.

6. Data security & retention

Data is encrypted and access is protected with OTP login, MPIN/fingerprint and a Master PIN for sensitive actions. We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data. Customers should direct such requests to the dealer who onboarded them; dealers may contact us for assistance.
